Had my wallet stolen today and Hubby told me I was "irresponsible" for not knowing exactly what was in my wallet. Maybe it was irresponsible, but having him tell me that didn't help one bit. And yes, there were a LOT of charges made...to restaurants and gas stations. So stressed and overwhelmed by all I have to do to rectify everything. And nervous. Now someone has my driver's license...and pictures of my kids. Some days I hate people.
I'm so sorry. I've had my wallet stolen twice, they took the cash and threw the wallet away, but while visiting Spain in July some gypsies stole my husband's wallet and spent a lot of $$$$ on it. It sucks sucks sucks but I hope it is of some comfort to you that they really just want the $$ and likely dumped the rest of the contents.
to be safe, my husband signed up for a one-year credit monitoring since he felt paranoid that his license was in the possession of unknown people. The risk of that is minimum if your SS card wasn't in there, but its good for our peace of mind knowing that our credit is being monitored!

I wouldn't know what was in my wallet either. I'm going to write everything down and keep a list at home with phone numbers of banks and cards to call. I'm so sorry. I've never had that happen to me and would be lost!
