So now we are back to negotiations. We need to have the house looked at again for estimates for the work and see if we can get the current owners to give us an allowance to have it fixed. Which means we need an extension on the due diligence. It is all getting a little confusing to me. I got a call today from my realtor saying that they did not want to give us the extension, so I told him that if we did not get it, we would walk away. Now we have a realtor and inspector telling us that despite the problems on the report we should buy it, and a builder telling us we should walk. We are not sure what we are going to do. We do not want to “walk,” but we want to get the money from the sellers to be able to pay for the problems, and they are not exactly the most generous people I have ever dealt with
